 | Arthur Frommer is generally acknowledged to be the nation’s foremost travel authority. He is the author of scores of travel books. The Arthur Frommer travel series, which he founded, now consists of over 300 yearly titles to every major tourist destination in the world, and is the nation’s largest-selling series of travel guidebooks. In addition to guidebooks, his writings include hundreds of travel articles and columns appearing in magazines ranging from The Readers Digest to Consumers’ Digest and Parade Magazine. His weekly column on travel is syndicated nationwide by King Features, and appears on Sundays in major newspapers ranging from The San Francisco Chronicle to the Newark Star-Ledger to the Los Angeles Times. It is undoubtedly the most widely read column on travel in America. Today, Arthur Frommer confines his activities to travel journalism, and writes frequently for a large number of travel magazines, in addition to authoring his weekly syndicated newspaper column on travel.
